About Us
Kaveri Vanitha Sevashrama is a noble non-governmental organization devoted to the nurturing, support, and empowerment of children without parental care and those from underprivileged backgrounds. Founded on the auspicious day of August 11, 2008, by a resilient group of 11 women, guided by the indomitable spirit of the late Smt. Sarojamma, KVS emerged from a profound dedication to community service and a vision to confront the adversities faced by marginalized groups.
Smt. Sarojamma’s own odyssey marked by scarce educational opportunities and the trials endured by children bereft of parental love—ignited her passion to forge a haven of support and compassion for those in similar plight.
Today, KVS ardently honors Smt. Sarojamma’s legacy, providing not only quality education but also a warm shelter, nourishing meals, healthcare, and life-skills training, all aimed at empowering these children to blossom into self-reliant and conscientious members of society. The organization is presently steered by Smt. Kanthamma as President and Smt. Suma as Secretary, who carry forth the cherished values of the founding members.
Continuing the Legacy Forward: Empowering Future Leaders
The departure of Smt. Sarojamma in 2018 at the age of 63 marked the conclusion of an era defined by compassion and relentless commitment to community service.
Sustaining the Vision
Her noble aspiration to uplift vulnerable children through education and skill development continues to illuminate our path at Kaveri Vanitha Sevashrama. New Generation of Leaders
Today, KVS is led by Smt. Kanthamma as President and Smt. Suma as Secretary.
